Cray Huber success on Appeal:  On January 28, 2022, the Second District Appellate Court upheld the trial court’s decision in an insurance coverage dispute, finding that another insurer was obligated to provide a defense to the defendant on a primary, noncontributory basis.  David Kravitz and Melissa Dakich briefed the matter on appeal.

Dan CrayMike HuberSteve HeilBen Beringer  and Maura Yusof have been named as Leading Lawyers for 2022 by Leading Lawyers magazine pursuant to the recommendation of their peers and approval by the Leading Lawyers Advisory Board. The distinction of being a Leading Lawyer has been earned by fewer than 5% of all lawyers licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Dan Cray presented on the topic entitled “Stop the Madness:  Fighting the Insanity of Rising and Unreasonable Medical Costs in Litigation” and  David Farina presented a General Session entitled “Human Factors in Trucking Litigation” during The Gavel’s National Conference VI, January 17-19, PGA National Golf Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

Aimee Lipkis gave the lecture “Podiatric Malpractice Litigation” on November 15 to third-year podiatric students at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago.

Cray Huber success on Appeal:  On October 25, the Second District Appellate Court upheld the trial court’s denial of a plaintiff’s motion to reconsider the trial court’s partial dismissal of their complaint based on the statute of limitations in a Podiatric Malpractice case.  Aimee Lipkis litigated the matter at the trial court level and secured the dismissal, and Melissa Dakich briefed the matter on appeal.
