Adam C. Carter attended the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel’s Annual Meeting on June 24, 2011, where he was installed as the co-chair of the IDC’s Civil Practice Committee. The Civil Practice Committee of the IDC focuses on drafting and modifying legislation in Illinois, including Supreme Court Rules, and also determining if the IDC should weigh in on civil practice issues pending before the appellate courts and the Illinois Supreme Court.

Mary Jane Theis of the Illinois Supreme Court, and one primary topic addressed was whether Cook County, Illinois is truly a difficult venue for corporate defendants.
