On April 15, 2014, Anthony M. Sam was on the scholarship selection committee for the Theta Mu Lambda Charitable Foundation (TMLCF) Annual Scholarship Awards Program where $12,000 was awarded in scholarships to graduating seniors from six local high schools including Crete Monee H.S. (Crete, IL), Hillcrest H.S. (Country Club Hills, IL), Marian Catholic H.S. (Chicago Heights, IL), Rich South H.S. (Richton Park, IL), Thornton Fractional North H.S. (Calumet City, IL) and Thornton Township H.S. (Harvey, IL).  Applicants for scholarships must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 and have been accepted to a four-year college or university.  To date, the Foundation has distributed over $150,000 in monetary awards.
